Vision — big journeys begin with small steps

We believe that Ethereum is more than just a technology. We believe it is also a world-changing community of millions of hearts and minds.

We launched the alpha of Ethereum World last year and since then, we've been working hard to make improvements and prepare the alpha for public launch.

We will decentralize more than just the tech. Ethereum World is pioneering decentralized and self-organizing social networking. All Ethereans can help shape and build it in an open and participatory way to become a world where we Ethereans feel we belong.

We are creating a public good — non-excludable and non-rivalrous.

"A New Home" Quest marks our first few steps together— the start of a journey on which we will achieve things that no one has done before. No pressure!

Join the "A New Home" Quest program and help make Ethereum fun, social, and easy to use.

"A New Home" Quest — our objectives

Our goal is to rally our Ethereum community around building our New Home.

We want to have maximum fun building our flagship decentralized social network together. We want to develop an approach to governance (including moderating) that reflects the decentralized and self-organizing nature of our shared purpose.

This is not merely a question of how we govern social networks, but how self-governance is integral to the definition of web 3 social networking. We have first drafts of community and moderation guidelines, and we know these will need to evolve to help us do something very special for the community.

We hope "A New Home "Quest will bootstrap Ethereum World governance. Once a legal entity for Ethereum World is instantiated, the most active and engaged Ethereum World Builders will take up essential governance roles.

"A New Home" Quest — 5 Principles

We have five principles in mind when designing the program that are closely aligned with the AKASHA Foundation values:

Diversity — everyone is welcome! We have various Ethereum personas in mind when considering the fairness of social recognition & rewards.

Collective intelligence — we need to encourage Ethereans to collaborate with one another (e.g. during workshops, events) so we build our New Home in a truly collaborative way.

Continuous learning — ****we have made some assumptions in designing the program's mechanics but we’re eager to learn and improve as we go.

Simplicity — the quests should be fun and fulfilling.

Gratitude — we acknowledge everyone’s contribution.
